An epidemiological analysis tool designed for far
forward use as well as a robust reports system with
advanced command and control surveillance.

Primarily designed as a Preventive Aerospace Medicine Team and JTF Surgeon management tool, the
TEM offers automated surveillance and reporting of deployed force health and readiness. The TEM is also
be web-enabled for C2 capability in HUMRO and Civilian assistance operations. TEM takes patient encounter
data entered from the GEMS PEM and provides graphic display and analysis of the patient data. Geographic
Areas of responsibility are mapped showing separate points of care, and then surveillance queries defined
by the user are automatically run on all medical data from each location in the database.
In biowarfare, the first indication may be through expert analysis of clinical medical data
across military and civilian command and control. Symptoms arising from within the population may
indicate an exposure to a biowarfare agent.
Timely identification to Commanders and Civilian Authorities allows the application of appropriate
risk mitigation strategies. |
